About Venture Active Health & Wellness

Venture Active Health & Wellness is a multifaceted wellness enterprise in San Diego, California. We focus on providing top notch recreational programs for corporations, mental health providers, resorts and more!  Our instructors are highly trained professionals that are certified in a multitude of skills including yoga, personal training, breathworks, reiki, barre, pilates, surf and paddle board instruction, paddle board fitness classes, wilderness survival, massage therapy and more! 
Venture Active not only designs recreational wellness programs, we also design retreats!  We love creating amazing healing and adventure getaways so make sure to check the schedule to see what we have going on! These retreats are a great way to break away from the busy hustle and bustle of life and reconnect with nature and the thrill seeker inside your soul!

Healing Practices

Breath Work Meditation

Breath Work is a pranayama breathing technique that allows stagnant, stuck or resistant energy to release through this very meditative breathing practice.We store old traumas, events and emotions in our energetic as well as physical bodies, and Breath Work allows you to deeply cleanse this energetic sludge that no longer servers you.

Reiki

Reiki aids in relaxation, assists the body's natural healing processes, and helps to develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is also said to induce deep relaxation, help people cope with difficulties, relieve emotional stress, and improve overall well being.

Qi Gong

QiGong is the art and practice of moving energy, or “Qi”, through the physical and body. It is commonly used by Taoist and Buddhist monks, Martial artists, traditional and Chinese healers, Qigong practice beneficial for everybody; The benefits of QiGong are usually felt quite quickly and are quite surprising to those who are not familiar with the impact this practice has on the body.

Vinyasa Yoga

The purpose of vinyasa yoga is to synchronize the breath with the body and mind. It is an energetic, powerful practice in which over time, you will develop a stronger mind-body connection and grow in strength and flexibility.

Sculpt Yoga

Sculpt Yoga is a high-energy, extremely powerful practice in which hand weights of assorted sizes, cardio, and plyometrics are incorporated into a 75-minute Vinyasa Flow.

Accupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through a person's skin at specific points on the body, to various depths.  By stimulating the body's various systems, acupuncture can help to resolve pain, and improve sleep, digestive function, and sense of well-being.

Surfing

In addition to improving your overall health, surfing can also provide you with some more specific benefits. Surfing can help to improve your balance, flexibility and stamina, while the mental health benefits of surfing include feeling happier, more energetic, and more mindful and relaxed.

SUP Yoga

Combines paddleboarding with yoga,  It is simply doing yoga on a paddle board, while floating in the water. It is beneficial because it improves flexibility, increases circulation, improves balance, great core workout, refines yoga technique and its, calming, fun, empowering and challenging 

Ripped Tide

Imagine a “floating fitness studio”!!! This unique class offers the unification of multiple paddle board exercises that focus on stabilizing muscle groups not typically accessed by traditional, land-based activities. Clients are challenged to push personal limits; while being encouraged by peers in an intimate group, as class sizes are consciously kept small for personal attention.

Rock Climbing

Not only does rock climbing provide physical benefits, such as building endurance, muscle and flexibility, climbing can be beneficial to both the brain and mental health; rock climbing is known to reduce stress and have positive outcomes on mental strength. We take groups indoor climbing first to build technique, confidence and skill and then we move on to outdoor climbing!

Fishing

Fishing has an unexpected connection to happiness and wellbeing. Being outside in nature can improve your mood, memory, and self-esteem. There's also evidence it can reduce blood pressure and decrease the risk of certain cancers.
